Location is fantastic and I loved the vintage feel to the hotel. It's kept well and although the carpet could be newer... the rest of the furniture was great. I also liked that they have their own garage (albeit paid but not a bad fee for full day use).

The architecture of the building is amazing. It has an old stately feeling to it from the moment you walk into the lobby…and I mean “old” in the best possible way. There is nothing cheap or plastic looking about this place. Yes, it has flat panel tvs, WiFi access, and card swipe locks on the doors, but everything about this place screams historic, and that makes it wonderfully different from other places in the area. And if you like to work out…WOW! For $15 extra per room (not per person), you can take advantage of their phenomenal work out facilities. This isn’t a normal one room crammed with crappy equipment hotel gym. THIS is any kind of workout you can imagine they have it available hotel gym, including an indoor swimming pool, full size basketball court, weight room, machine room, bike room, walking/running track, pickleball court, etc. It truly is an Athletic Club. We were there for a volleyball tournament at the Americas Arena, and it was easily within walking distance (even in February with snow on the ground). We asked if they could do lunch for our volleyball team at Jack Buck’s restaurant on the bottom floor of the hotel. Not only did they say YES, but they asked for the team colors and name and suggested a shortened menu to limit the options to make it easier on the parents and girls (which it definitely did!)…then they printed special keepsake menus and matched the napkins to our team colors (as close as they could come). It was such a special experience for the girls and for the parents! Every member of their staff from the front desk people to the restaurant staff to the housekeeping staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient.

The entire ordeal, renting the room through Booking.Com, finding the place, checking in with the VERY helpful staff members, buying a couple high dollar cigars from the same wonderful lady, and then having to spend a good 20min picking my jaw off the floor when I saw the Billiards Room, Leather clad Reading Room, and then my own room, which was more comfortable than I've ever had the joy of sleeping in. The entire experience was not just simply "acceptable", it was the standard to which every other hotel should base themselves on!

I love the location and the exquisite architecture and art collection. Since it’s a private club I got to feel like royalty being there. A very unique experience. The restaurants were wonderful too. And parking garage is so convenient. From the front door to the Arch Park and Eads Bridge is one block. An evening walk on the bridge to view the city was magnificent!

Great reception, hotel accomodated my friends arriving a little sooner than my family did. They spoke like they were well received despite not having a room in their name. That is appreciated. No frills checkout. Enjoyed the Jack Buck Grille for a couple of drinks following the Battlehawks game.

This was a fun experience and very different from most hotels. It's a heritage listed building that used to be a gentlemen's sports club. It's a gorgeous building with great sports facilities. Certainly the first time I have stayed in hotel with a basketball court (with a Guinness world record attached). The sports facilities are extra but exceptional value and a great pool. The staff were lovely, especially the staff in the restaurants.

The whole bldg is historic, and the decor very masculine, wood walls and leather chairs. The two restaurants were excellent. We were in St Louis for a concert, to our surprise upon arrival, there was a complimentary shuttle to the venue . Upon returning, the bar stayed open for an extra hour or so for a final night cap. Could not have been a more perfect evening .

The gentleman (maitre d)at the dining room was very kind and helpful. I just returned from Singapore and had spent 19 hours flying, and jet lag was kicking in. He helped me get a hamburger and beer and let me take it to my room to eat. I could have hugged him, and I'm sorry I didn't tip him. He deserves that-a-boy pat on the back.

Free shuttle to/fr cardinals games: 1st run starts 1 hour before(although it’s an easy walk)There is a microwave on the 8th floor in the room with the ice machine & snack & drink vending machines. Interesting old historic place: a pool table room & a reading room with recliners, books & a piano(10th floor)..check out all the other floors too(a full size basketball court on 5!)

This is a heritage sight turned into a hotel and events venue. It has a classic vibe and a very good value for money. Facilities are good except there seem to be no breakfast (unless you request it from the kitchen at a cost?). The area is nice, just a short walk away from the Gateway Arch and downtown with a tram station a block away to reach out other areas like the Forest Park, a pleasant green place in the mould of Central Park NY. There are a few shops towards the front of the hotel including a grocery store, a patisseries and a cafe
